UPDATE

It being understood that the protection deriving from the registration of designs still has a maximum life of 25 years, the law into which the Italian Legislative Decree 10/07 was converted has extended the protection of designs up to 70 years from the death of the author or of the last of the co-authors, where the protection deriving from copyright applies.
The two distinct protections, the one deriving from the industrial right through registration and the one deriving from copyright, may be accumulated.
The differences between the two forms of protection remain unchanged.
