COVID-19 and IPRs: the new extensions to time limits by European and Italian IP offices
Given the continuing limitations to work activities 30 April 2020Taking into account the limitations to work activities still due to the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency, the European and Italian offices for intellectual property have granted further extensions that we report below.

European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) The Executive Director of the EUIPO signed a decision extending to 18 May 2020 all time limits expiring between 1 May 2020 and 17 May 2020 and affecting all parties to the proceedings before the Office. |

European Patent Office (EPO) EPO announced that all periods expiring on or after 15 March 2020 are further extended for all parties and their representatives to 4 May 2020. |

Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) UIBM further suspended the time limits for proceedings under its competence until 15 May 2020. |
