A Community design can be licensed for the entire community or only a part of it. The license can be exclusive or non-exclusive.
Except for the dispositions laid down by the licensing agreement, the licensee can propose an action of infringement of the Community design only with the agreement of the owner. When an appropriate term given to the owner of the design to propose the action has expired without any action, the owner of an exclusive license can take action himself. To obtain compensation for the damages he has suffered, the licensee can intervene in the infringement action started by the owner of the Community design.
The licensing of the relative rights or the assignment of a license relative to a registered design can be written in the register and published.
