Chiara Tavagnacco
Chiara graduated in law from the University of Trieste, with a specialization in Intellectual Property. She attended a Master’s course in Intellectual Property Protection and Internationalization of SMEs, with a focus on the Chinese market, organized by the Italian Trade Agency.
Chiara has been working as a Trademark Consultant since 2014, and as an Italian and European Trademark and Design Attorney since 2017. She has worked in Italy and Spain, and was a visiting attorney at the IP department of Duane Morris LLP in San Francisco. She joined the GLP team in 2020.
Chiara has gained consolidated experience in prior art searches, in the study and development of filing strategies, and in the continuation and maintenance of trademark rights both before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), and EUIPO, as well as before foreign national trademark offices in collaboration with local lawyers. She has experience in managing office actions, oppositions and cancellation actions, as well as in negotiating coexistence agreements and in managing anti-counterfeiting activities.
